Jolie, Clooney nominated for Screen Actors Guild Award

Angelina Jolie and George Clooney have been tipped for Golden Globe awards, for their roles in ‘A Mighty Heart’ and ‘Michael Clayton’, respectively.

The other stars competing with Jolie in the ‘Best Actress’ category for a Screen Actors Guild Award are Cate Blanchett for ‘Elizabeth: The Golden Age’, Ellen Page for ‘Juno’, Julie Christie for ‘Away From Her’ and Marion Cotillard for ‘La Vie En Rose’.

In the ‘Best Actor’ category, Clooney will vie with Ryan Gosling for ‘Lars and the Real Girl’, Daniel Day-Lewis for ‘There Will Be Blood’ and Viggo Mortensen for ‘Eastern Promises’, reports Us magazine.

As for the ‘Best Film’ category, only four films made it to the list, including “American Gangster,” “Michael Clayton” and “No Country for Old Men” and single mentions to 13 pics.

The SAG Awards are set for January 27 at the Shrine in Los Angeles.
