Quick and Easy Win of Pacman

Manny Pacquiao v Ricky Hatton

It seems that Freddie Roach saw the future, he predicted an early knock-out in favor of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. Roach told the media in a press conference that it will not lasts 3 rounds & Ricky “the Hitman” Hatton will hit the floor.

Hatton started strong with his patented brawling style which Manny did not engaged into, instead Pacquiao played it his own way. The Brit kissed the canvas twice in the first round both via Pacquiao’s stinging hook, first with the left and later with a right.

Although being staggered with the 2 knock-downs, Hatton came out strong on the 2nd round. He was slugging it all but Manny stopped him with strong jabs and finally, about a second remaining on the 2nd round referee Kenny Bailey seeing Hatton lying flat on the canvass motionless stopped the fight.

The knock out came from a devastating left hook that Pacman landed on Hatton’s right chin leaving the Brit unconscious. Pacquiao landed 73 punches compared to Hatton’s 18.

It was a standing ovation at the cinema with fans shouting “Manny! Manny!”. I myself stood up to give honor the the People’s Champ. Almost all the viewers stayed on to hear what Manny would have to say after winning, besides, we paid P400 to see the whole show. The fans also waited for Hatton’s interview until this guy in green showed up on the screen, f*ck! It was Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro talking but (thank God!) no audio. I believe it was his congratulatory message to Manny. Why in the world Solar Sports inserted that (pathetic effort of an aspiring President to win the hearts of the Filipino people) in a boxing match broadcasts. If Teodoro paid for it, then there goes your tax money people!

Manny once again made the Filipino people proud, not only that he remained the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world but wrote another entry to the boxing history by winning 6 world title in 5 different weight categories.

I wonder what Mayweather Sr. would have to say now, after bad-mouthing coach Freddie Roach during the interviews, it all went down to his face like a spit from the air.

Congratulations Manny! I hope that you’d continue giving pride to the Filipino people!
